Prognosis Volcanic Activity:
Effusion of viscous lava flow at the dome slope continues. Small ash plumes from hot avalanches are possible. Ash and aerosol plumes could affect low-flying aircraft.

Volcanic Activity Summary: There was no explosive eruption for last day. Seismic activity was mainly low this day. According to satellite data, strong gas-steam plumes were extending to the north-east from the volcano on November 02. No other information about activity of the volcano.

KVERT scientists is available in the office from 8:30 AM till 6:00 PM (KST) and by phone during the evenings. KVERT uses daily satellite imagery, information from remote scientific observation stations, real-time seismic data for 11 volcanoes, and other information to monitor activity at Kamchatkan and Northern Kuriles Volcanoes.
