KVERT DAILY REPORT
Kamchatkan and Kuriles Volcanic Activity
October 01, 2025, all time is UTC
SHEVELUCH VOLCANO (CAVW #300270)
56.64 N, 161.32 E; Elevation 3283 m (10768 ft), the dome elevation ~2500 m (8200 ft)
Aviation Colour Code is ORANGE
A growth of the lava dome of the Young Sheveluch volcano continues, this process is accompanied by powerful gas-steam emissions. Satellite data by KVERT showed the volcano was obscured by clouds.
KRASHENINNIKOV VOLCANO (CAVW #300190)
54.6 N, 160.27 E; Elevation 1856 m (6088 ft)
Aviation Colour Code is ORANGE
An effusive eruption of the volcano continues: lava flows are effusing to the eastern slopes of the Northern Cone of the volcano, and a gas-steam emission from this Cone is observing. Satellite data by KVERT showed a big thermal anomaly over the volcano.
KLYUCHEVSKOY VOLCANO (CAVW #300260)
56.06 N, 160.64 E; Elevation 4750 m (15580 ft)
Aviation Colour Code is YELLOW
There is no eruption of the volcano. Satellite data by KVERT shows a strong wind lifted ash from the northern slopes of Klyuchevskoy volcano, and a plume of resuspended ash extended for about 90 km to the east of the volcano.
BEZYMIANNY VOLCANO (CAVW #300250)
55.97 N, 160.6 E; Elevation 2882 m (9453 ft)
Aviation Colour Code is YELLOW
A gas-steam activity of the volcano continues. Satellite data by KVERT showed the volcano was obscured by clouds.
KARYMSKY VOLCANO (CAVW #300130)
54.05 N, 159.44 E; Elevation 1486 m (4874 ft)
Aviation Colour Code is YELLOW
A moderate activity of the volcano continues. Satellite data by KVERT showed a weak thermal anomaly over the volcano.
